United Athle's 100% cotton T-shirts—perfect for loungewear and underwear

What do you guys wear as loungewear or underwear?

I mostly wear United Athle T-shirts. They’re affordable, and since they’re 100% cotton, they feel great against the skin. I’m just not a fan of synthetic fabrics like those used in ○ort○ock or quick-dry T-shirts for summer.

For summer, I prefer 5.6 oz

I think 5.6 oz is best for spring through summer and fall. There are thinner options, but they lose their shape easily and can be a bit see-through. They come in a wide variety of colors and sizes, so they’re my go-to. Depending on the color, some aren’t 100% cotton but contain a small amount of synthetic fiber.

By the way, "oz" (ounces) refers to the weight of one square yard of fabric. 5.6 oz means that one square yard (0.9144 meters) weighs 1 oz (about 28.35 g) × 5.6, which comes to about 158.76 g. You can tell the thickness of the fabric by its weight.

My recommended color is slate. It’s similar to navy blue, but even if it gets a little worn and fades over time, it develops a nice vintage look.

It’s a good idea to buy a few pieces at once.

You can safely buy it in Japanese sizes.

I think it’s perfect for both loungewear and as an undershirt.

I think white is best for layering.

For winter layering: 6.2 oz

The 6.2 oz fabric is relatively thick. I think it’s great for layering during cold winter days. Even though it’s thick, it’s not stiff or bulky, so it doesn’t restrict movement. The price is slightly higher than the 5.6 oz version.

This one also comes in various colors and sizes, but if you’re wearing it as a base layer, white is probably the most common choice.

Long T-shirts for loungewear

We also have long-sleeve T-shirts that are perfect for loungewear.

Even the 5.6oz version is quite warm. There are several colors available, but I tend to go for black. There’s also a wide range of sizes.

There are also versions without ribbing at the wrists.

Another great option is the 6.2 oz heavyweight long-sleeve T-shirt from Cross and Stitch. It’s thicker and warmer than the 5.6 oz version, and very comfortable to wear. I often wear this one as loungewear, too.
